4.1. Team skillset management

Prerequisites to applynone
  1. Identify skills necessary to run the project
    1. Use identified requirements (mostly non-functional requirements) to identify the required skills.
    2. Assign priorities to the skills, e.g., by considering core (must have) and secondary (should have/could have) skills.
  2. Identify skillsets of the team members
    1. Identify skills posessed by each team member
    2. Create the map of skills by matching the required skills with the skillsets of the team members
  3. Plan for growing the skillset of the team
    1. Identify missing skills in the map of skills
    2. Provide necessary training; consider internal seminars and workshops to share the knowledge
    3. If possible, plan at least two team members for each key skill
    4. Consider using the map of skills in recruiting new team members
