This page explains how to create a a Collaborative Organisation (CO) using one of the three group management systems available via the eduTEAMS  Service.


This following instructions are aimed at persons that would like to create a CO. By following the instructions below, you will have created a CO in one of the three Membership Management Systems that eduTEAMS provide. You will be able to invite users to groups and you will be able to use this group membership information on own services for access control and authorisation purposes. The eduTEAMS service is usable by users with an eduGAIN-enabled federated account, typically a university account. It is however also possible to use eduTEAMS without such an account, via a social identity (e.g. Google, Facebook) or an ORCID account.

Getting Started with the eduTEAMS  Service

1. In order to get started with eduTEAMS, all users, regardless of their role need to register on the eduTEAMS Service

2. When you click the "JOIN" button, you will be presented with a screen on which you will have to select your organisation's Identity Provider where you will authenticate. If your organisation is not listed, you might want to search/choose "LinkedIn via eduTEAMS", "ORCID via eduTEAMS or "Github via eduTEAMS".


3. After successful login, the eduTEAMS profile page will present the details of your newly created eduTEAMS user profile:


4. Next, you can request the creation of a new Virtual Organization
