Question Marcomms: Do we have a status update on Gambia and Sierra Leone?

IR: Update TICAL Services Session & RedCLARA

eduroam was highlighted as key service by the L-A NRENs. 
RedCLARA is in touch with a couple of universities about providing eduroam.

  • CAFmoz: meeting held on Monday Nov 10: ready to revamp the federation, 4 team members, plans to finalise the production infrastructure, currently ~14 IdPs, services mostly dummy SPs, need to add real ones; They already updated the policy to version 3.0 to take into account eG Secretariat's feedback, next staus update with them on ~ Monday Dec 8, TBC
  • NgREN: progress towards accreditation, process started. 
  • BotsREN Fed: feedback on their policy doc provided. 
  • eduGAIN FedOps training planned for March 30-April 2 will need dissemination and outreach: currently potential hosting sites:  Paris, Berlin, Istanbul - we need to further process this and decide on a venue when all feedback arrives.  In addition to this, activites to continue on the GLAD-ification side of things, Colossyan license procured, Avatar of all team members being produced. First Learning objectives and Course introduction already preliminarly grabbed. 
IR: Update on RedCONARE progress / check statusRedCONARE's application came to a hold. They will reach out in January 2026. 
InAcademia

SURFconext will make InAcademia SP defailt opt-in for all Dutch IdPs from 1st December (already announced).

Informed of potential policy change towards commercial services in Switzerland and Italy (awaiting official communications)

Update Marcomms: working to standardise available information around Core AAI and related services and have it approved 
Incubator
Update Marcomms: article on incubator published https://connect.geant.org/2025/11/25/from-stockholm-with-trust-cycle-11-of-the-geant-ti-incubator-begins-as-cycle-10-wraps-upSuccessful outreach in the context of various topics:
  • STM + Crossref in the context of Bona Fide reseacher
  • Intro to Incubator scheduled at TechEx (december)
  • Topic ideas trickling in from various places.
  • Next demo: early next year.
Wallets

The questionnaire results are in and published: NREN Questionnaire
