  • "like and you will be liked" it is essential to get followers or likers to your socmedia account, and according to my experience starting from scratch is difficult!! The most effective way is like/follow similar type of organizations/projects and rely that they will scratch your back too. That's how you can create traffic to your account.
  • pain spot no1: people who are against socmedia as a principle. I guess many share this problem, but it is tiring to always need to justify the use of social media always to same people. These are the same people that always look downwards any new tricks or methods, always pessimistic and nothing new is worth trying. Should these people be left outside the effort made, and wait until time passes and they'll join FB or should we "train" them on benefits and threats that social media has?
  • pain spot no2: this relates mostly to EC projects dissemination through social media: if EC has a negative viewpoint on using social media in dissemination, how can we convince the socmedia skeptics in our own orgaisations? Almost every time we talk about use of social media in one of our projects few people remind us that in a review of one of our projects few years ago, EC was opposite of using social media in dissemination work. The reviewers had emphasized that no extra effort/money should be spent to use of social media and this is brought to discussion every time. And this justification is always used to torpedo the socmedia efforts.Does anybody else have other experiences of EC & socmedia??
