The eduGAIN CSIRT may also provide support outside business hours on a best effort basis.

Mission Statement

The eduGAIN -CSIRT provides security incident coordination for eduGAIN on the federation level and ensures that security incident resolution process does not stall. Details are laid-out in eduGAIN-CSIRTs Term of References available at <HERE A LINK TO THE TOR>Security Team main duty is to provide a central coordination point at the inter-federation level for the security incident response. Moreover, the team will share information on security threats relevant for the eduGAIN community.

The eduGAIN Security Team provides a central contact and support point for security incidents, and it will work in close collaboration with Federation Operators to coordinate the investigation and resolution of suspected security incidents at the inter-federation level.

Constituency

eduGAIN consists of identity federations, which which members are the federation participants,  an association of organizations that exchange information as appropriate about their users and resources to enable collaborations and transactions.  With regard to security incident response the identity and service providers (IdP and SP)  registered in a federation.
