Topic 4.1 Peer Mentoring Programme – Introduction by Sarah Hughes

To support GÉANT’s Gender Equality Plan, GLAD hopes to launch a community mentoring programme in 2023. The programme would offer individuals the opportunity to volunteer as a mentor or mentee. Mentoring is a great way to develop leaders and future leaders, and can be a powerful tool to emancipate those from underrepresented groups. GLAD would provide training for volunteer mentors to ensure quality and consistency in the approach. The programme would require NREN engagement to promote the programme to potential mentors and mentees. During this session GLAD would like to gather NRENs’ feedback.
