Concerning 2.1 „eduGAIN Executive Committee (eCC)

. I propose the following text

there is currently missing a section defining the division of votes in the case of more bodies financially contributing/funding eduGAIN operations.

A proposed text that could be incorporated in the next update could be:

„The EduGAIN Executive Committee comprises representative from organizations that fund eduGAIN operations. As long as GEANT is the only organization funding eduGAIN operations, the role of the eEC is adopted by Geant Board. The Geant Board can execute this task by

ist

its own or delegate all or part of it to the Geant CEO.
The eEC is responsible………“

Andreas Dudler

Save for the next general of the constitution alternatively define on the eduGAIN GOV site.
The absence of a web-page describing the role of the board ([eduGAIN-GOV]).Raimundas Tuminauskas(?) Suggest the roles and responsibilities to the Board over email, and once agreed, add to eduGAIN web page.Valter (with assistance from Nicole, Brook, Justin)
In 1.3 Terms..a term 'Observer' (used in 2.2 '..non-voting invited observers' is missingIvan Maric Add "Observer" to termsNicole
Term (and role of) 'GEANT' is a bit confusing for me. It is written: 'GEANT is a membership organisation'
The term that is not used in the document. After reading this document I can only conclude that GEANT's relation to eduGAIN is through trademark.
Ivan Maric
In 2.1 'Technical Profiles' is used while in 1.3 Terms is 'Technology Profiles'.Ivan Maric Make terminology consistentNicole
It would be valuable to know the cost structure of the eduGAIN.. an global collaboration(Secretariat + operations + ..)Ivan MaricShould this be addressed in the Constitution?Valter
Under 4.4: 'affirmative vote of at least two- thirds of Federations from the active voting list' - how is 'active voting list' defined?
Could the composition of the eduGAIN eEC be presented Could the composition be discussed in the [eduGAIN-GOV]? Then the 2.1 is generic enough and wouldn't require any change.
I'm in favor of approving the text as it is, provided that [eduGAIN-GOV] is present, and it reflects at least current situation correctly.
Raimundas Tuminauskas

The composition of the Operations Team is not defined

Christian Grimm Update text or provide link to Ops Team definitionNicole

With this it is hard It is difficult through the constitution to identify the "organisations that fund eduGAIN operations" and how to extend if there's a wish for it..

Christian Grimm Provide a link to a list of funding organisations ?or describe in more detail at edgGAIN GOV

Looking at its core function (ratify decisions by Steering Group) the term "Executive Committee" doesn't look appropriate to me

Christian Grimm Same as response to "absence of a web-page describing the role of the board ([eduGAIN-GOV])"? Valter?
