AAI

Access to the system is controlled in a number of ways:

IP Range - Users who have an IP address within the City House or OC Staff IP range are automatically granted access to the majority of the functionality for OpsDB

Username / Password - If a user falls outside the necessary IP ranges then if they have an account created for OpsDB they can access it by logging in with these credentials (these are only for OpsDB and are not a users windows; Géant; or edugain credentials)

Reading windows username - for certain sections of OpsDB the system uses the Java plugin to read a user's windows username. This information is then used for auditing purposes.

This is the main landing page for OpsDB and provides quick access to the most commonly used functionality of OpsDB. This section may be accessed by users outside of the Operations team to find information out.

Each one performs a number checks and reports on inconsistent data within OpsDB so that the user can correct the data as necessary
