:

You can manage managers in two ways:

  • directly per User - a specific user is promoted to be a direct manager of your Group → continue on Step 3.1
  • dynamically through Groups (manager's groups) - through membership in a promoted manager's group all members are managers of your Group → continue on Step 3.2

Info

What is the main difference between direct manager and manager's group?

Direct manager is a static setting. A user is promoted to be a manager and he will stay in that role until it is demoted again.

Manager's group can change its membership dynamically. New member would be promoted to the manager automatically and former member will be also demoted automatically.

Info

There are multiple roles you can set for Managers in your group:

  • Group Admin - Full control over the Group (can also manage Managers for the group)
  • Group Membership Manager - Can only manage memberships for the Group (add, remove, invite, approve applications, reject applications)
  • Group Observer - Full information about the Group without rights to change anything (read-only Group Admin)
