No much to report:

  • no further contacts with Uzbeksitan
  • still haven't responed to Egypt request for new certificate, waiting for OT
  • meeting about eduroam in European NRENs, perception of users, etc. that I announced last time - was planning for a mid March (will send some dates to everyone interested)
  • Few outstanding Compliance Statement signatures. This list of NROs has been shared with PR.

Next GeGC meeting - 3 March. - would we like like to include the eduroam monitor as well?

  • MaliREN Mali and BotsREN Botswana federaton esablishments are in progress. They need to get back to us. 
  • NgREN IF (Nigeria) was accepted as eduGAIN member and are now in full production.
  • MREN (Montenegro) is now an official candidate.

  • Most of the work currently taking place to organise and plan the forthcoming eduGAIN training in Paris, 30 March - 3 April. Still places available.

Slow progress with NRENs / Federations, planned meetings until the end of this month

InAcademia exhibited at eCommerce Berlin. Very positive reaction, good crowds, often a queue to ask questions. Nearly 100 leads captured in 2 days.

WP5 services leaflet WP5 T&I Leaflet - action: Casper to update the statistics to 2025 numbers based on the WP5 deliverable. Make them reusable for global use to improve effectiveness.
