• InAcademia needs help with promoting that InAcademia exists → NRENs to help with getting service provider contacts
• Eduroam is getting quite negative feedback on Eduroam not functioning well → kind of getting into a crisis meeting

Very interesting that this is happening, as these are fully Project problems. It should not be up to the GCP to deal with this. 

DANCE

Initiative is still unclear if it can be funded. It's very cool and ambitious, but it seems unrealistic. 

Continuation of NPAPW, so he's just asking for us to have it on the website + Nadelina's help with logistics. Can we say yes to that? It's not clear if we want to say yes to this, as it also seems to support 0,5FTE to be asked for in GN5-3, which 

•  Ariela Herček will talk with Domenico together with Dawn to clear up what he is exactly asking support for 

NPAPW was really nice, so a continuation of that is very nice. All the stuff that is added to that (like including students etc) is not thought out.

We don't have the mandate to reach out to institutions specifically, we have a reach to the NRENs, not beyond that. 

GN5-3 will get 30 procent less budget, so it is not sure that he will get the budget. 

This is also community engagement with Internet2, so that's very important to keep. This is one of the most unique thing that our networks can do. So it is very worthwhile to keep it going. 

GÉANT Info Day in Sofia

Ariela will be presenting on the opportunities in the GCP

GÉANT Symposium

Side meeting proposal for SEE community hub → Ariela, Anastas and Marina will organise and it will be open for others to join

• How can GÉANT project help? → both in terms of money but also to help setting things up

Is it only GÉANT community? Or GÉANT association? 

It is restrictive, as it is only for NRENs.

Have a call with them to talk it through more thoroughly: 

•  Charlie van Genuchten to set up a call with the TF-EDII to see what they actually want to achieve and check the restriction what they want to have.

T&I

REFEDS is not really doing great, but it's hard to see what's happening exactly. Need to have someone else, which we're

•  Charlie van Genuchten will organise a meeting with the new T&I lead in the GCC and Nicole and others about the T&I community once we have someone

Skills shortage 

Should we have a joint online workshop on how to attack the talent shortage? Yes that would be good to have.

→ WG HR of CEO Forum + maybe other NRENs

•  Dawn Ng will talk with head HR of GÉANT to see if we can organise a two hour online session later this year on the topic of talent shortage and what different NRENs have done to combat.

And maybe also ask our SIGs to talk about talent shortage how big the problem actually is. Compendium has added a question about age in the NREN. 

Strategy? 

Longterm vision is missing for some → steering committees are the ones that need to lead to see trends together and see if there's input for the GN project

Standards

Standards: Gabriella asked again if we can map the standards → WP3 will work on coordinating standards, so we will leave it to them and can help with outreach if necessary

•  Dawn Ng  will ask Nadelina to add to the indico page if you want to be added to the mailing list

Nicole has made a filter, so you can only see community events.

Value proposition

Adding a value proposition per SIG in the community page.

•  Dawn Ng will ask SIG Marcomms to provide a template for how to make a value proposition

After that:

• We'll check with the SIGs if they want to be helped with this
• If so: then we can help with coordinating creating this

Help make the connection between SIGs and partner relations

•  Dawn Ng will connect SIGs with partner relations

Help co-locate with others somewhere with a broader 

Help as liaison between different SIGs on what is on different agenda's

Check what others are talking about as liaisons, so others know what is going on

The Real Network Conference

•  Ivana Golub will create a first draft for what the Real Network Conference can be and how to make it

Can we get help on finding hosts from GÉANT?

SIGs that are lost

SIG NGN → is having a bit of a crisis. But to Carsten/Dawn to seem to be getting better. Maria Isabel and Ivana will have a call with them to see if it can be revived.
