Bored learners won't learn anything.

Our community has become acustomed to delivering training in the same way that they deliver a workshop presentation. The image to the right shows that the maximum attention span of the average person listening to a lecture is about 20 minutes.

At this point, you'll need to find a way to engage your audience, or most of them will not retain a single word you are saying.

You should probably think about this when you are designing your workshop presentations too!

The lecture is still a valuable tool, but should not form the basis for the entire course!
