The GÉANT Association's Certificate Practice Statement (TCS CPS) that the NRENs agree to follow when signing the TCS contract defines the subscriber as following:

"Subscriber” means a Research and/or Educational organization and/or non-commercial member of an NREN requesting a Certificate through an Account
