Geant NSI documentation

Following information have been extracted by the BoD GUI at https://prod-bod-gui.geant.net/autobahn-gui

The GUI lacks of usability providing minimal forms for requesting new dynamic circuits.

Tracking existing circuits is allowed only to administrators. Standard users seem to be allowed to observe only what has been requested by the user itself.

Under these limitations, the only available source of information are the select elements in the GUI pages and the BoD Deployment Map feature based on Google Maps visualization.

Even in this screen the available information are very limited: for every domain, only name and GPS locations are shown. Ports for a given domain can be guessed by additional icons on the map.

Links lines do not provide detail information on the transported services, nor about multi-hop logical circuits terminating on a certain port.

The following sections report what we have been able to extract from the GUI and reviewing every single link terminating on the icon marked as "geant.net" domain.

For getting more meaningful information a complete view of the service information base is needed (is admin role elevation possible?).

Command line tools, or a dump of the configuration and database sources maybe, could be more useful for the JRA2-T1 needs.

Other ports information

The following ports are shown in the user interface but there are no information about related links. The GUI does not allow to understand if these are dangling information about no more active links or the ports terminate multi-hop circuits.
