FUNET

  • at the moment we do not actively maintain fb/linkedin pages which we have. The accounts have been created few years ago and thanks to many changes of personnel at CSC's communications, we have lost track on whose responsibility they are. This is very sad, because nothing is more miserable than abandoned social media accounts, they have sort of passed away. Our web-pages are under renovation this year and one goal is to bring the social media alive as well, so let's see how it goes. Some of our projects use social media somewhat actively (e.g. EUDAT) that has twitter and fb accounts, so my experiences rely heavily on that one.

GÉANT (DANTE)

GRNet

  • GRNET has used Facebook in some specific cases in the past, to gain in a short period of time wide dissemination of certain activities. Currently there isn’t a GRNET account in any social media, but facebook groups had been created in the framework of two national contests:
    • xirafia.gr: National Student Competition of Innovative Software Creation
    • e-movie.gr: National Student Competition of short movies creation, with the use of multimedia and internet tools
