  • SURFnet's policy (in Dutch)
  • TERENA social media guidelines.These were creating by Laura/Carrie/Gyongyi  but were not accepted nor rejected by Management Team since 'social media' is not formally considered a focus area. So, for now, they just collect dust. I share these with you because we (PR) stand behind them and see it as a good start and we hope it inspires others!

  • Censoring tweets, etc - yes or no?

What can we (NRENs) do?

  • Showcase to the TERENA GA the positive results of using social media:
    • Feedback from event participants about the benefit of use of SM.
    • Statistics of community use of SM.
  • Create a qualitative survey / voting for using / publishing photos from employees
  • Censoring tweets: check strategy of other similar organisations, how they deal with this issue. Create list of use cases for this.
