Date: June 12, 2025 (at TNC25, Brighton)

Our inaugural Community Hub session at TNC25 in Brighton marked a significant first step in the creation of the Special Interest Group on Policy. With approximately 20 engaged participants, the session aimed to gauge interest and gather crucial feedback for the proposed SIG..

The discussion following the presentation was lively and insightful, revolving around key questions: the fundamental need for such a SIG within the NREN community, the breadth and scope of its proposed activities, and its potential to make a tangible impact. We are pleased to report that the strong interest was evident, with nearly all attendees signing up for the prospective mailing list, signaling a clear demand for this collaborative platform.

The session featured a comprehensive presentation by Léonie Schäfer (DFN), outlining the vision and objectives for SIG-Policy. Agnieszka Stoklosa (PSNC) effectively facilitated interactive engagement using Mentimeter, capturing valuable real-time feedback from the participants.
