We gather here all information on the next eduGAIN Federation Operators training 2026 - to be held in Paris, at RENATER, from March 30 to April 3, 2026.
The eduGAIN training team is pleased to announce that plans for the next Federation Operators training have been defined now, and the next training event, aimed at providing skills and know-how to new Federation Operators from the community of NRENs and Identity Federations is planned from March 30 to April 3, 2026, in Paris, kindly hosted by RENATER, in France, at the GIP RENATER HQ in 23-25, rue Daviel - 75013 Paris.
The goals of the training is to introduce new federation operators and staff members of new identity federations to the general concepts, the protocols, the tools and best practices around the management of Identity federations, their metadata, the community members, and eduGAIN as the worldwide interfederation services for Single Sign-On.
New staff members who have recently joined an Identity federation, or prospective team members that will have to act as FedOps are welcome to attend the event.
We aim at gathering around 25 students, we will provide them with lectures on the above mentioned topics, and they will be involved in hands-on exercises where they will have to deploy their own Identity providers, service providers, discovery services, create their own federation metadata, sign them and configure all required federations tools and services.
Participation is free of charge; Travel and hosting expenses will have to be covered by the participants at their own expense.
