• After the contract between GÉANT and your NREN is signed and the bill paid, a division for the NREN will be created. If you have been indicated as its first administrator, you will receive an email with a link that will allow you to create your account and confirm the division.

  • While creating a division only one administrator can be assigned to it. After his account is set up and the division is functional, the first administrator can create other administrators and users.

  • Keep in mind that the new TCS has a hierarchical structure. The role of the NREN administrators is much more limited than it was in the Comodo environment. NREN administrators can create divisions for their subscribers. They give initial names to the subscriber divisions and create their first administrator invitation. The validation of organisation names and domains and the approval of certificate requests is distributed along the hierarchy down to the Subscriber admins and it isn't part of the duty of the NREN admins.
  • Make sure everyone involved thoroughly reads the legal texts that are stored on the TCS repository, especially TCS Terms of Use and the TCS Consolidated Required Contractual Terms. In particular the latter contains a text that will appear to the users in the portal as a 'click-through'. Users of the portal will have to agree to it in order to activate their account!
