The Wiki is designed to allow staff to update their own event attendance (you will need to login at GÉANT Staff Identity Provider to access the page) so if you plan to attend an event as a delegate, speaker, panel member etc. please add it to the list (if not there already), add your name the appropriate mark next to it depending on the current status of approval (? Tentative /TBC, ! Pending approval, √ approved, x didn’t attend/not approved).
More than 3 staff travelling to the same event?– CAM staff please note
This does not change the event approval process for CAM staff, for events with 3 or less attendees approval is dependent on a having a signed TPO. If you plan to attend an event where more than 3 staff from CAM will attend approval will be needed from GEANT Managers which marcomms continue to coordinate for CAM staff.
GEANT presence at External Events
As a project GEANT exhibits at several high profile events throughout the year (funded and resourced by GN4). Examples include Net Futures (Apr) SC16 (Nov) and every 2 years NORDUnet conference, ICRI, ICT etc. We also have a significant presence at GEANT organised TNC. Please refer to either EventR or the wiki for a list of upcoming current events. To maximise our effectiveness at each event we plan demos, visuals and literature that are most relevant to the attending delegates and arrange for the appropriate staff to represent GEANT. We welcome input from the GEANT Community to contribute with demos, posters, leaflets and other literature that would enhance our attendance at such events. Raising GEANT awareness at your event or an event you plan to attend
We have a variety of GEANT display stands of various sizes from 1m wide ‘pull-ups’ to large 5 panel drop exhibition stands. We also have pens and other small promotional gifts as well as literature in the form of posters and leaflets and CONNECT magazine. Please contact GEANT marcomms@geant.org if you would like to borrow a display stand or have literature, posters or CONNECT magazines sent to you or an event you are attending.
