THE FUTURE OF EVENTS - F2F / virtual / hybrid?
Experiences and lessons from the past year

Four short presentations will highlight challenges and successes in planning and delivering online events of varying kinds, sizes and formats, and considerations on how to decide the best approach for coming events. With examples from CANARIE (lessons learned and how they inform future events), BASNET (scientific outreach event PRIP in September), ASNET-AM (hybrid conference CSIT 2021), SURF (goals and tools for future events) and GÉANT (TNC21 - virtual). Plus discussion

TRAINING AS AN NREN PRODUCT AND/OR MARKETING TOOL - PART 1

Offering training is a way that some NRENs make themselves known to new audiences, raise awareness of what an NREN is, or increase visibility of the NREN brand. Training can also support products that are offered and expand the uptake of service offerings. But training is also a product or service in its own right, needing a place in the NREN strategy and in the marketing communications support activities.

TEASER TASTER - FROM CONCEPT TO CONTENT

Storyboarding, script writing, voice overs, filming, animation - what processes go into the production of videos, what skills and resources are needed, and what parts can you do yourself to save costs and time? This short teaser session will introduce some basics and test the level of interest in a possible follow-up workshop that could go into more depth and give more practical tips.

BRAND STRATEGY

Inspired by an example of an NREN re-evaluating its core brand and developing a new strategy on sub-brands, we will break into smaller groups to discuss how a strategy resolves issues around the structuring and promotion of services, and related topics on branding, websites and the creation of marketing assets.
