Venue

The first Up2U General Assembly Meeting will be organised from 27th February to 1 March 2017 in Sport and party Centre de Kegel at the Grand Hotel Amstelveen, Netherlands. The venue is conveniently located at about 15 minutes from the airport and not far from the Amsterdam city centre by public transport. All meetings will take place at the Nice! room which is located within 2 walking minutes from the hotel. The spacious meeting room is equipped with air conditioning and wifi internet connection.

The hotel rooms are situated next to meeting room at the Grand Hotel Amstelveen. We offer hotel rooms to 2 persons per Partner for max 2 nights.  Your rooms have been blocked for a definite period. Please indicate the details of your room requirement as soon as possible upon registration at https://eventr.geant.org/events/2588 to secure the availability of your room.

Extra night

If you decide to come in on the weekend or stay longer after the meeting, extra nights will be offered at a special rate of EUR 89,50 pp/pn including breakfast.  Extra nights will be at your own expense. Just get in touch with the hotel directly at + 31 645 55 57 or email  info@grandhotelamstelveen.nl and use code GÉANT to receive your special rate.

Lunch and refreshments

Lunch, coffee, tea and water will be available on each day and will be served at Bistro Nice!, right below the meeting room.

Social dinner on 27th Feb 19:00

On Monday night from 19:00 there will be a 3-course dinner at Bistro Nice! next to the venue. 

Bowling on 28 Feb 17:30

If you want to have a bit of fun we challenge you for one hour of bowling after the meeting on Tuesday starting at 17:30 at the bowling centre which is located next to the meeting room.

*Dinner and bowling are paid for excluding drinks.

from Schiphol airport

By public transport

Several buses will take you in about 30 minutes from Schiphol airport to the venue either directly or with a stop over. Plan your journey at http://9292.nl/en. Here you will also find walking routes to the venue from the bus stop in Amstelveen.

Bus 199 (direct connection)
Walk to the Bus stop Airport, Schiphol and take Connexxion Bus 199 in direction Station Zuid, Amsterdam). Get off at Nesserlaan West, Amstelveen and walk in 4 minutes to the venue 

Bus (bus 300 and 170)  1 stop over
Walk to the Bus stop Airport, Schiphol and take Connexxion Bus 300 in direction Bijlmer Arena via Schiphol Air). Stop over at Busstation, Amstelveen and get on Bus 170 ( direction Uithoorn via Amstelveen). Get off at Nesserlaan West, Amstelveen and walk in 4 minutes to the venue

Bus (bus 300 and 172)  1 stop over
Walk to the Bus stop Airport, Schiphol and take Connexxion Bus 300 in direction Bijlmer Arena via Schiphol Air). Stop over at Busstation, Amstelveen and get on Bus 172 ( direction Kudelstaart via Amstelveen). Get off at Sacharovlaan, Amstelveen and walk in 8 minutes to the venue
