2.REQUIRED TRAINING NEEDS

 
  • Project Management Training, New Activity Leaders and Task leaders should be given support/training to assist in their use of the PMF and its daily operation in the GN4-2 Project
  • Product Lifecycle Management training – possible update session in a briefing style delivered via WebCONF or similar.
  • Leading High Performing Virtual Teams – This event is for new Activity Leaders and Task Leaders to help in the management and communication challenges of the GN4-2 Project. A 2-day face to face event with opportunities to example and work through challenges that are likely faced in working across geographic boundaries and in the environment of matrix working.
  • SharePoint training – There are several task orientated short learning guides already in place such as Uploading Documents, arranging meetings, Uploading deliverables and Milestones. These are accessible through the on-line help and support tab. These will be supplemented by new video information/training on specific aspects of the new Intranet Site.

           ITIL Service OperationITIL Service TransitionITIL Continuos Service ImprovementITIL Service Foundation Software/service testing schemaUsability testingWith the increased prevalence of the Python programming language within GÉANT Operations, the support needed for programs written in Python, and the likliehood of Python being used to develop any SDN controllers within the organisation, there is a need for SA3 T4 develpoers to become capable in this language. The develoers in question are: Richard Sanigar, Mandeep Saini, Dominic Oyeniran, Robert Latta and Trupti Kulkarni.   X

            Aimed to SA2 TLs, SA2 Service Managers and some T2/T3 membersAimed to SA2 TLs, SA2 Service Managers and some T1 membersAimed to SA2 Service Managers and T4 membersAimed to SA2 TLs, SA2 Service Managers and CSI task members. Exact interest should recorded.  Training about testing schema, e.g. black box testing, running testing scenarios, etc. The course might follow all/selected ISTQB practices (http://www.istqb.org/about-as.html). Aimed to SA2/T1, but could be intersted to developers from other activities.Trening about usability testing and UX (User Experience). Aimed to SA2/T1 test team, but coudl be considered for developers and managers taking part in the UI design in other activities.
