The eduGAIN service all hands gathers all the members of the eduGAIN service teams and related services to discuss issues, plan the evolution of the service and define the priorities for the year ahead. The meeting will take place on April 20th and 21st in Pisa and it will be hosted by the University of Pisa and GARR.

How to reach the venue

From Pisa Central Train Station:

The venue is ten minutes walk from the train station. In case you need to carry

From Pisa (PSA) Airport:

To reach the venue from the  Pisa Airport the easiest way is to go to the train station with the local unmanned train called "Pisa Mover". There is also a Bus service, though timing is subject to seasonal changes, so it must be checked at time of arrival.

From Florence (FLR) Airport:

Take Tram number 2 to Florence Santa Maria Novella Train Station and then any train to Pisa.

From Rome Fiumicino (FCO) Airport:
To reach the venue from Rome Fiumicino Airport the best route to reach Pisa is through Florence. There is a direct train from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Florence Train station, where you can find plenty of trains to reach Pisa.

Costs

GN5-1 WP5 T2 participants can claim travel and accommodation expenses on the task budget, as well as person-hours for time spent.

Ideas for the Agenda: 

  • Session 1 - as overall introduction to different work areas and context setting for everyone
  • Topics for brake-outs:
    • OT topics - for example: on how we move to dockerized environment, databases, key management, 
    • eduGAIN support - how do we support requirements for LoA (like lumi)
    • eduGAIN security team - we are working on fully establishing CSIRT, there can be a break out meeting.  
    • Support for new entity categories ?
    • Support for implementation of edugain futures wg recommendations - perhaps just a presentation, but we dont need to plan the work at this point of time
    • Cross topics - security operations ? 
    • Supporting tools - consolidation (coco monitor, f-ticks), development plans etc. 
    • Training -  talk about the plans, possible collaboration with GLAD and GEANT e-learning academy.
