In order to connect to service providers available via eduGAIN, the IdP has to consume the downstream metadata distributed by the respective home federation.
Some federations like the UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research re-publish the eduGAIN metadata within the same metadata aggregate as the "own" entities. In this case, no configuration changes are required.
Other identity federations like SWITCHaai and DFN-AAI provide separate metadata files. In this case, an additional Metadata Provider has to be configured. For technical details (esp. metadata URLs) please refer to the documentation of your home federation.
