Travel & Hotel

Some of the hotels close to CERN recommended by the host:

How to get to CERN:

CERN is accessible by the public transport network in Geneva and local taxis. The details are here.

Many hotels will in the Geneva area provide you with a bus ticket valid during your stay. In general all of them can be reached with public transports (http://tpg.ch).

The nearest airport is Geneva Cointrin (here).  A free bus ticket is available next to the baggage claim which can get you to your hotel or to CERN.

There are good train connections to the Geneva Cornavin central train station (here) including TGV connections to Lyon and Paris.

Access to CERN by car is not recommended. If this is required, please contact the event organisers.

Once at CERN, you should make your way to the reception at Building 33. Details of getting access to the site are covered here.

Further details are available here.
