100G network monitoring and performance testing
WP6 Task 3 is running a variety of tests and experiments to explore the impact of running network services at 100Gbps and above. The initial three areas for experiments are
- Data transfers using software tools such as GridFTP, WebDAV, and FDT, running between optimised data transfer nodes (DTNs)
- Configuring perfSONAR measurement points to achieve 100Gbps throughput tests, with iperf, iperf3 or ethr
- Validating RARE forwarding at 100Gbps
