Session Aim

Session 1 aims to build participants’ skills of managing virtual teams by raising knowledge and awareness of communication and project management ideasand practices, such as Team Communication Plan (TCP) and Team Meeting Best Practice.


Delivery

Online delivery. Prior to the session, participants need to make sure to have

  • stable internet connection
  • quiet area for 1,5 hours
  • meeting login
  • headset 
  • log in 15 min prior to the start to test the equipment


Activities Overview

The session is delivered by experiencing a virtual team meeting setting (Adobe Connect) and sharing personal experiences of managing (or being managed in) virtual meetings. The session is a combination of participant- and instructor-led activities.

The session opens a possibility of receiving peer feedback on managing virtual teams using 360o Questionnaire.  


Materials & Post session Workplace Activities  

  • Run a number of Team Meetings following Best Practice
  • Obtain feedback Team Meetings in relation to the Best Practice criteria
  • Create Team’s Communication Plan
  • Distribute 360o Questionnaire, for those taking part
