  • Discussion: Position to take and next steps as discussed with Klaas and Christos of GÉANT: 
    • We put the "educational ID" in the centre and use it as motivator of the story
    • We start from a position of strength with our existing service eduGAIN and friends
    • The "wallet-ecosystem" is a new method - we are used to adapt to new developments (integrating PAPI and friends, catching up with SAML versions, adding support for OIDC)
    • EBSI EA Wave 3 is a trial to prepare for the future - we are in no way claiming that EBSI is meant to stay
    • communication pending, probably in a blog style - less formal and more opinion than statement to start with, easier to follow-up on and stir discussion
  • discussion:
    • gateway solution likely to be attractive (to protect our investment in the service ecosystem):
      • best fit is with existing IdPs/OPs also issuing VCs (next to SAML and OIDC)
      • Question about who signs what in the name of whom - and who holds the key material
      • same applies to who is issuing educational badges and credentials
• Planning next steps:
  • Finishing off the Work Items, decide on pending comments 2-3 of them in upcoming meetings, finish before summer break
    • none this week, as we should give Amineh precedence with finishing off the risk assessment
  • Redistribute the work for the report also before summer break

• Review existing services to identify opportunities and challenges to adopt the distributed technologies paradigm. Grab existing results as a start
• Gather previous work done by the NRENs/universities on using SSI technologies, as well as other sectors. Crowd-source among ourselves
