Discovery Service Configuration

For the very basic adoption of eduTEAMS Discovery Service everything one needs to know is the URL it uses to serve discovery requests. On how to apply Discovery Service URL you should consult the documentation of the product you are using, in most cases Shibboleth SP documentation  or SimpleSAMLphp documentation. It is recommended to go beyond basic adoption and take advantage of IdP filtering and embedded discovery. By combining these two features SP is able to offer embedded discovery listing IdPs relevant to it's user base.

Filtering IdPs

By default eduTEAMS Discovery Service lists all the eduGAIN IdPs.  SP may reduce the list by Filtering IdPs.

Embedded discovery.

eduTEAMS Discovery Service may be used also as Embedded Discovery.
