Welcome!
It's often said that the campus networks are often the weakest link in the chain of end-to-end services needed for research and education. It's also said that the IT systems used in research and education waste energy. As strongest links in the chain we as NRENs are placed to change views and make a difference by joining our forces.
Meeting objectives
Aim of the meeting is to create a launching path for an independent Special Interest Group (SIG) on the topics of Campus Best Practice and Sustainability by defining the scope, roles, and purposes of this new emerging group. The meeting will cover the following topics: SIG charter preparation; deciding the name of the new SIG; selection of the chairs; identification of the next preparation duties.
Target AudienceThe meeting is open to everyone and more specific to all NRENs that are currently active in the GN4 Green ICT or Campus Best Practice groups or any group taking an interest in bringing 'best IT networks and Green ICT practices' to their research and education constituencies.
