Personal data processed

For each discovery service request, the eduTEAMS Discovery Service creates a log entry in the regular web server log and a specific service log. The log entries record:

• IP address of the client
• Identifier of the Service Provider
• Home Organizations made available for selection
• Timestamp of the request
• Browser used for making the request

Purpose of the processing of personal data

The log files are used only for administrative, operational, accounting, monitoring and security purposes.

Third parties to whom personal data is disclosed

Access to log data is protected and log data can only be accessed in a secure way by eduTEAMS Discovery Service staff.

Statistical data is gathered based on the log entries (see above). This data is anonymized and does not contain any personal data. Statistical data may be made publicly available by eduTEAMS Discovery Service.

Data storage

All data processed by eduTEAMS Discovery Service is stored within the EU/EEA.

Data retention

The technical logs and related information is kept independently in order to guarantee the security of the infrastructure and its optimization and we be retained no longer than 3 months

Your rights

• As user data is anonymized it cannot be provided to end users but only to law enforcement agencies on eligible request.
